If you're new here, welcome. My name is Andrea and I am a wedding photographer of 10 years, here to give you my take on the best that Los Angeles has to offer in terms of creative, photogenic, and versatile wedding venues between Malibu and Long Beach!

We're going to make this quick, because I already know you're going to skim. If you'd like an in-depth view of the weddings I've photographed at the following venues, please contact me.

The Millwick

Warehouse meets Urban Tropical Garden for up to 175 people

Situated in Downtown LA, the Millwick is part of a bigger group, Marvimon. If you want a warehouse-style celebration that is accompanied with brick, lush greenery, and options for covered & open-air, this is the venue to beat! Couples often project movies or imagery on the wall to accompany their DJ & reception for an added creative twist.

Ebell of Long Beach

Historic, Classy & Chic Indoor Ballroom for up to 180 people

When you think of getting married in California, you may picture outdoor options 365 days of the year, but the Ebell Club is one of my favorite all-indoor venues that is historic, artistic, and has Spanish-Moroccan touches that liven up the space and make the average ballroom venue shudder. Perfect for a winter wedding or any time of year, this place is equal parts artistic and classy with many rooms and spaces for guests to peruse as well as a spacious bridal suite and killer bathroom.

The Lodge at Malibou Lake

Picturesque, Serene Waterfront Retreat for 400+ guests

This is a chic and romantic canvas for any couple who wants a classic look with amazing in-house catering, while being free to enjoy cocktails and dinner al fresco, yet want to have the option for an indoor dance floor during chilly fall nights! It's a perfect getaway from the big city in the hills of Malibu, but only by 30-40 minutes.

Smogshoppe

Conscious, Deserty Vintage Space for 150 people

Another Marvimon venue that like its sister properties, epitomize the term, "urban oasis". Smogshoppe is an indoor / outdoor space that has a vintage vibe and more desert-type plants right in Culver City. For those who value a conscious route, this is one of the most sustainable venues in LA, boasting solar power, vintage and reworked furniture and decor, and vertical, drought-tolerant gardens that make water-use its most efficient.

Valentine

Grand Artsy Urban Oasis for up to 500 guests

Last on the list for the Marvimon spaces, Valentine is indeed romantic and whimsical. It's filled with tropical plants and can even be expanded to included the next door venue, Grass Room.

Greystone Mansion

Grandeur, Old Hollywood Charm for 150 guests

For its timeless elegance and historic charm, this venue provides a famously stunning backdrop. The mansion's picturesque gardens and architecture offer countless opportunities for breathtaking photos and intimate ceremonies. With its central location in Beverly Hills, guests can easily access the venue, making it convenient for both local and out-of-town attendees.

Redbird

Great Food, Modern and Classy Design for 120 Guests

Elevate your wedding experience at Redbird DTLA, where historic elegance meets avant-garde sophistication within the walls of a meticulously restored cathedral rectory. Exchange vows in a setting that seamlessly fuses architectural grandeur with modern design, offering a truly one-of-a-kind backdrop. Delight your guests with an innovative culinary journey, transforming your wedding into a gastronomic celebration.

Hinoki & the Bird

Travel-Inspired, Modern Space with Sensory and Unique Dining for up to 180 guests

For another culinary-forward wedding venue, choose Hinoki and the Bird, where the artistry of exceptional Eastern / Western cuisine merges with contemporary elegance. The space holds enough for an intimate ceremony or the option for standing room only. Long candlelit tables are recommended and the main lobby can be used for your dance floor and DJ, right next to the bar. See photography from my most recent Hinoki & the Bird Wedding!

The Seventh Place

Industrial, Brick, Warehouse Space for 300 seated.

Nestled in Downtown LA's Arts District, this venue is highly customizable for the couple who appreciates an industrial warehouse setting. This venue is minimal, so it is perfect for a reception and ceremony. A great idea would be to get ready at an equally as stunning and artistic hotel like Freehand or the former Ace Hotel called STILE.

Hudson Loft

Industrial, spacious, city-forward with various spaces and capacity options.

This alternative option for a warehouse venue with a view is a stunner because of its blank canvas appeal, large glass windows, and spacious rooms for activities, dance, vendors, and of course, places for guests to mingle. The rooftop is also a win, making classic city imagery for any time of day.

Calamigos Ranch

Rustic, picturesque, and elegant with various options in terms of capacity.

Couples should consider hosting their wedding at Calamigos Ranch for its captivating rustic charm and diverse range of scenic venues that cater to various wedding styles. The ranch's expansive landscapes, from enchanting forests to elegant gardens, provide a picturesque setting for both ceremonies and receptions. The venue's all-inclusive approach streamlines the planning process, offering couples a stress-free experience with customizable packages that include everything from catering to decor. With its tranquil surroundings and attentive staff, Calamigos Ranch ensures a memorable and personalized wedding celebration immersed in natural beauty.

Bel-Air Bay Club

A wedding at Bel Air Bay Club promises a coastal fairy tale. With panoramic views of the Pacific as your backdrop, exchange vows amidst salty breezes and golden sunsets, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. This luxurious ambiance, impeccable service, and exclusive beachside setting combine to craft a timeless celebration that reflects both romance and the beauty of the LA coast.

Inn of the Seventh Ray

Bohemian, Whimsical, and Serene Garden for 250 guests

Opt for The Inn at Seventh Ray to infuse your wedding with a bohemian spirit and whimsical charm. Nestled in the heart of Topanga Canyon, this venue provides an enchanting forest backdrop that's perfect for couples seeking a nature-inspired celebration. With its eclectic decor, serene creek-side setting, and renowned organic cuisine, the inn offers a relaxed, yet stylish atmosphere that ensures a joyful and memorable wedding experience.
